Development of Green Infrastructure Roadmap for Jordan

The project focused on developing a strategic road map to guide the implementation of urban green infrastructure (GI) and urban agriculture in Jordan, serving as a national reference for the Ministry of Environment. As part of the “Improvement of Green Infrastructure in Jordan through Labor-Intensive Measures” initiative, the project addressed the definition of GI, its technical components, integration into existing national policies and plans, and identification of financing mechanisms to support sustainable urban development. The work involved close collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Environment, Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), financing banks, and donors, to ensure alignment with national priorities and investment frameworks.
